Santa Fe, the nation’s oldest and highest capital city, has an abundance of art galleries, world-class restaurants, museums and recreational activities to please any visitor.  The diverse culture and impressive feast of flavors have drawn culinary travelers from around the world for over 300 years.  But many local chefs are now experimenting with regional ingredients to create a new, contemporary cuisine that reflects a mélange of cultural influences.

DAY ONE:
Your flavorful getaway begins by checking into a charming boutique hotel strategically located in the heart of Santa Fe.  Your first evening will provide ample free time to shop, gallery hop, or dine at one of the many restaurants recommended by the hotel’s attentive staff.

DAY TWO:
Your second day provides a wealth of adventure, as well as rejuvenation.  Start your morning with a hearty breakfast at one of the many unique cafes just steps from the hotel, then it’s off to your first culinary event as you join the staff at the Santa Fe School of Cooking to master the art of Southwestern flavors.  You’ll enjoy a progressive “tasting” lunch that will leave you both satiated in knowledge and appetite.  The afternoon is a time of relaxation at the hands of skilled technicians as they massage away your stress, and purify your spirit.

As the high desert sun begins to dip, it is time to think about the culinary adventure that will tastefully occupy your evening.  A festival of flavors will be prepared at the hands of Chef de Cuisine Eric DiStefano and his artful team of culinary professionals.  This evening you will enjoy the Chef’s seasonally selected five-course tasting menu that is sure to please even the most impassioned bon vivant.

DAY THREE:
The final morning comes too soon, but is made more palatable as you venture out to explore some of Santa Fe’s most treasured places.  After checking out, you will enjoy a professionally guided tour of the specialty galleries currently featured at the New Mexico Museum of Art.

DOCENT TOUR OF GALLERIES
The New Mexico Museum of Art building dates only to 1917, but its architects looked to the past, and based the design on the 300 year-old mission churches at Acoma and other pueblos.   The blending and cross-influences of Native American, Hispanic, and European-based cultures have created a unique body of work that is the basis of the New Mexico Museum of Art collection.
