Kam’s Kookery
Our philosophy at Kam's Kookery is twofold - to celebrate the joy of eating and living well. To that end, we organically and sustainably grow our herbs and vegetables, naturally increasing their flavor and nutrient value. We seek to add more joy to your kitchen by teaching you hands-on how very simple and fun cooking the very best can be.
We also seek to support sustainable agriculture. Seasonal, local, and organically grown ingredients taste better. Humane and sustainable agriculture produces safe, wholesome food in a manner that is ecologically sound, economically viable, equitable, humane, and provides a healthy and safe environment for the present and future generations. To that end, we emphasize high quality, farm fresh ingredients, purchased from local sustainable farmers whenever possible.
We emphasize flavor and the use of locally produced, non-factory farmed ingredients in our popular Take-Home Series classes. The series is modeled after the Pass Your Plate concept and allows you to make and take home 6 healthy meals for a family of four. The main difference is in the high quality and flavor of our ingredients.
We will also focus on healthy, easy meals and preparations using locally and sustainably raised meats, poultry and dairy in every class. Our classes will feature pork from PDH Farms, beef from No Name Ranch, chicken and turkey from Walters Hatchery, and dairy products from Horn Farms and Wagon Creek Creamery.
