WINE DINNERS
AT ABINGDON MANNOR
Periodically, Chef Patty Griffey selects a region of the world or type of cuisine to draw inspiration for a special menu and collaborates with our wine expert from Aleph Wines on pairings for a unique evening of food and wine.
These collaborations have resulted in dinners highlighting Italy, Spain, France, Germany/Alsace, South Africa, South America, Australia, Pacific Rim, regions of the United States and specific wines such as Pinot, Burgundy, Chardonnay and Super Tuscans.
Differing from the regular dinner format, the wine dinners begin at 7 with an Aperitif or sparkling wine and hors d'oeuvres. Three courses are served beginning at 7:30 with the first a sampling platter, the second a fish, seafood or poultry and the third a meat or wild game. Each course is paired with its own distinctive wine. This is followed by a delicious dessert, coffee or tea.
Priced at $69.50 per person, plus tax and gratuity, the evenings are an exceptional value and limited to a seating of 24.
