Our Camden bed and breakfast is perfectly situated in midcoast Maine to get outdoors and enjoy the fun! The Inn is steps from Camden’s picturesque harbor with its fleet of historic Windjammers ready to take you on a scenic tour of lighthouses, marine wildlife and secluded islands. Kayaking, hiking, golf, museums and other attractions are just around the corner. All of these activities are even more enjoyable with the Inn's famous gourmet lobster roll picnic basket. Cooking Classes:
Join Chef Michael in his Camden Maine kitchen for a cooking class weekend, covering a wide range of topics from regional and ethnic cuisines to seasonal and holiday offerings. Classes are informative, entertaining, and of course, filled with delicious food. Weekend packages are $305/$465 and include two nights lodging, breakfast each morning, afternoon cookies and tea, a gourmet candlelit dinner for two and enrollment for one in the cooking class. Classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-3 in the afternoon.
Chef For The Day:
The chef for a day program runs from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and is available Wednesday — Sunday. Students will assist Michael in preparations for that evening's dinner and will get specialized training on prearranged topics. The afternoon begins with a review of the evening's dinner menu and assignment of duties. After a quick tour of the kitchen and orientation, you will work side-by-side with Michael preparing dinner. If you have a preference to learn about one of Chef Michael's recipes or a specific type of cuisine, Michael can work with you in advance to make those arrangements. We recommend you join us for dinner that evening to enjoy the dishes you helped prepare.
Private Cooking Classes:
Do you have a group that would like to have a private cooking class with Chef Michael? Choose from over 25 different courses that Michael has put together or choose individual items from his cookbook. Classes require a minimum of 6 students and are available November through May.
