One Foot In Paradise Cooking Vacation

We are excited that you are interested in our intimate tour to the French Loire Valley countryside (surrounded by vineyards) where we will be taking cooking classes from Chef Frederic Tempereau of the Atelier Culinaire (Culinary Workshop) Cooking School in a small quaint village called Savennieres, very close to Angers (the capital of the Anjou wine district).

We are also visiting wineries and a liquor factory. The Savenniers wines are known for their honeysuckle bouquet and light but complex taste, and sure to become a favorite of everyone on the tour.

Our adventure starts with your arrival in Paris on October the 5th, and ends with your return trip through Paris on October 11th, 2008. Angers is 1 1/2 hours by train from Paris and there are 15 trains a day. Our routine will be to take cooking classes one day, followed by excursions and activities the next day, then back to cooking classes…and so on.

Our objective is to provide the organization through which culinary activities can be generated, enabling you, the student chef and L'Auberge Edge of Seattle Cooking the opportunity to travel to France for a culinary adventure.  Bring on the joire de vivre and...

• Interact with a Fench Chef (English speaking).
• Take three 5-hour, hands-on cooking classes.
• Go to colorful markets along with the Chef to pick and choose the food for the cooking class.
• Prepare and eat (along with wine paring) 3-course meals.
• Interspersed with classes, enjoyable excursions and visits with culinary experts in their field.
• Sleep in a chateau (double occupancy) for 7 nights with private bathrooms, single supplement available.
• Besides breakfast, one meal provided each day served with wine.
• And...if this is all too much, you may choose to take some time off and just relax in the Loire French countryside with the scent of flowers and watch the clouds sail by...
