Whether you are interested in a serious culinary career, just want to learn the fundamentals or improve your existing skills, The New School of Cooking has a course for you. Our experienced chef instructors and state of the art kitchen classroom, combined with individual attention and hands-on participation is a recipe for success.

We offer a variety of recreational classes, covering a vast array of cuisines and disciplines. Most recreational classes are hands-on, allowing our students to truly learn and understand technique. Classes cover such diverse topics as knife skills, tarts and pies, sauce making, cooking with fish, chicken, meat and vegetables as well as ethnic cooking from all over the globe. We also offer classes on food and wine pairing and much more. In addition to single classes, we also offer short series that allow more in-depth understanding of a range of topics. All classes emphasize fresh ingredients in season, so each season brings a new crop of classes.

We also offer summer cooking camp for kids and teens. Those classes are listed in our spring catalogue, which is now available upon request. Camp fills up by early March, so be sure to sign up quickly.

The New School of Cooking also features comprehensive, part-time professional chef’s training and pastry programs. The courses are designed to teach students the techniques and skills necessary for a successful culinary career.
