Morning Market Visit & Paella Cooking Class Visit Barcelona's most important market, Market of la Boqueria, and discover why Mediterranean ingredients are crucial to the international acclaim of the cuisine. A chef will guide you, as you purchase the ingredients you need for your Paella and Spanish cooking course. Paella is widely regarded as the national dish of Spain. Back in the kitchen, you'll work hand in hand with the chef to prepare an appetizer, starter soup, classic paella and dessert. When it’s all ready, enjoy the fruits of your labor, complete with Spanish wine!

The tasting takes place in a hidden wine bar in the charming Gothic quarter. You'll learn all about "Catalan Champagne," taste 3 of the best cavas and enjoy some delicious desserts.
Flamenco & Tapas: A Spanish Must This evening, delight in two Spanish classics—tapas and flamenco. This isn't a typical tapas dinner; you’ll enjoy traditional tapas with a novel twist at a tavern that’s a locals’ favorite. Following the early dinner, you'll make your way a few doors down to enjoy a flamenco show, where you’re sure to be mesmerized by the colorful Spanish music and dancing.
Day 3
Montserrat Visit | Brunch | Wine Tasting This half-day trip out of Barcelona will take you to visit Montserrat Mountain to explore the castle-turned-winery, Oller del Mas. Soak up the beauty of Montserrat, the "magical mountain" of Catalunya, as you visit its monastery and a nearby Catalan winery. In the morning, the guide will take you up the national park and monastery, explaining the history and significance of the mountain. Then, head to the Oller del Mas family winery, an impressive castle that maintains many of its original walls. The winery takes up more than 1,000 acres of land and an adjacent golf course is open to the public. While there, you'll learn about their wine production process and taste three of their best wines, along with a light brunch.
Wine Tasting and Tapas in Old Town After a relaxing afternoon in the countryside, you will return to the city to join a professional sommelier to get to know Barcelona's old town Ciutat Vella through its wines. You'll try a total of eight varietals of wines, paired with tapas. You'll learn all about wine production in Catalunya & Spain, as well as some wine tasting techniques. End the evening pleasantly full of wine and food, and with a new-found appreciation for the art of wine tasting.
Day 4
Vineyard Bike Tour Hop on a bike and explore Catalunya's famous wine region, Penedes. You'll take the local train from Barcelona to Penedes, which is just 45 minutes away, and your guide and bicycles will await you at the station. You'll be cycling in the vineyards, visiting a family winery and tasting 3 of their wines. Fitness and fun in one!
Tapas and City Tour on Sidecar Ride After a quick refresh at the hotel, there is a tapas and city tour with a dash of adventure! You'll be picked up at your hotel by your guide with the motorcycle and sidecar. This will be an absolute memorable experience! You'll make three stops in different neighborhoods to taste the city's flavors. In addition, you'll be taken to a little-known panoramic viewpoint to toast to Barcelona's night, and given an introduction to the most emblematic sites of Barcelona. Ohla Hotel - Barcelona
A ravishing rooftop pool steals the show at Ohla Hotel, a historic-goes-modern Barcelona stay whose neoclassical façade once housed a department store. Soft, minimalist interiors and a Michelin-rated restaurant draw discerning locals and travelers to the site of the first Count of Barcelona's palace, decked out in contemporary luxuries with the help of sculptor Frederic Amat. Ohla Hotel has two restaurants, each with a singular style and menu. A bountiful breakfast buffet is served daily. On the ground floor, the relaxed Ohla Gastrobar serves creative tapas dishes and has an industrial, slightly masculine feel, with high ceilings, concrete pillars and huge slate tiles lining the bar and open kitchen. For more formal dining, cross the suspended walkway over the lobby to reach low-lit and intimate Saüc Restaurant and discover why Xavier Franco’s reinterpreted Catalan cuisine has earned it a Michelin star.

What Currency is being quoted?
All prices are quoted in USD. The price quoted on the first page of a tour is always per person, double occupancy.
What does Double Occupancy mean?
Two persons traveling together, and staying in the same room. Tour prices are normally quoted as “per person, double occupancy” in case two people are traveling together and staying in the same room, but paying separately. The cost of the lodging is also shared by two people, thereby reducing costs. This could be a married couple, two friends or relatives.
What is a Single Supplement?
Whenever a person travels alone, the cost of their lodging cannot be shared by another person. When tour products are priced, they are normally stated as “per person, double occupancy.” Whenever a guest occupies a room as a solo, the whole cost of the lodging must be incurred by that one individual. Tour companies accommodate this by charging a Single Supplement. Epitourean does its best to keep the single supplement as low as possible, but it is a real cost that tour companies must absorb, and must pass along to the single traveler.
If I am a Solo Traveler, will I be paired with another person?
Epitourean never pairs a solo traveler with another person without a special request. If you book Single Occupancy, you will have a room entirely to yourself. However, should you wish to be paired with another solo traveler to save on the single supplement, you may make this request. We cannot guarantee that we can accommodate such requests, since it would take another solo traveling on the same tour for the same dates. But if requested, we will certainly try.
Is a Deposit required to book a tour or getaway?
Yes. We require a 30% refundable deposit for all our domestic (USA and Canada) getaways and tours, and a 50% refundable deposit for international destinations outside of the USA and Canada. Reservations made for destinations within the USA and Canada must be paid in full 30 days prior to departure. Reservations made for destinations outside of the USA and Canada must be paid in full 60 days prior to departure.
Are flights included in the tour price?
No. Flights are never included in the price of our land-only tours. Epitourean does not provide air, rail or sea travel, unless expressly noted in the itinerary.
May I give a culinary tour as a gift?
Yes. Epitourean has a special program designed specifically for this purpose. Our Gift Packages come with features such as special messages to the recipient, gift box option, gift link (without pricing), and floating dates (should you not know when the gift recipient wants to travel). Contact a Culinary Travel Specialist at 800-390-3292 or to receive additional information about this unique offering.
May we request separate beds if sharing a room?
Yes. In most cases, Epitourean can accommodate a request for two beds to be placed in one room. Just make sure to make this request in the comments section of the reservation process.
Does each guestroom have a private bathroom?
Yes. Epitourean partners with the best lodging options in each destination, and private (en suite) bathrooms are a requirement. However, you should inquire as to the configuration of bathrooms should you have a special need. For example, some tours include accommodations in medieval villages, where either a shower or bath(but maybe not both) are present.
Can your tours accommodate my dietary restrictions?
In almost all cases, Epitourean can accommodate dietary choices and restrictions. But we do request that you ask a Culinary Travel Specialist prior to making your reservation so that we can assess your individual situation.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Our full cancellation policy is stated in the Terms and Conditions when making your reservation. Cancellations with a full refund are allowed up to 31 days or more prior to departure for USA and Canada tours, or up to 61 days or more prior to departure for international tours. No refund is allowed 30 days or less prior to departure for USA and Canada tours, or 60 days or less prior to departure for international tours.
If I am unable to use a portion of the tour, can I get a partial refund?
Unfortunately, due to vendor and supplier contracts, we are unable to provide partial refunds for unused portions of any tour or tour component.
Should I Purchase Travel Protection?
We recommend that you purchase a Travelex travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. Travel protection plans include coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more.
