High Cookery in the Kennebunks with Professional Chefs!
Come stroll the wide sandy beaches with spectacular views of the deep blue Atlantic as you explore the rugged coastline dotted with its network of tidal pools. Savor the delicate taste of the best lobster caught right offshore and served dockside at one of the local establishments. This is the historic Kennebunks; a year-round destination filled with rich history, architecture and “Old Maine” charm.
Note: During the late spring, summer and early fall inquire about an optional sailing excursion aboard the 55 foot gaff-rigged Schooner Eleanor. Climb onboard and join the crew as you sail off over the blue waters, and the sails catch the wind as she quickly gathers speed.
The Inn at English Meadows - Luxury Guestroom
The Inn at English Meadows– Located an enjoyable 8 minute walk from nearby Kennebunkport, is this modern, chic bed and breakfast .The area is home to many shops, galleries, restaurants and lovely historic homes, all within walking distance of the inn. Nine luxurious guest rooms and a bungalow, all appointed with care and attention to detail with Vera Wang hyper allergenic mattresses, down duvets and pillows, and flat screen televisions and amenities such as Frette Linens, robes & slippers, iPod docking stations, and complimentary wireless internet.
Three-Course New England Breakfast
Guests find that the freshly prepared three course gourmet breakfast is truly one of the highlights of their stay. Meals are always prepared with quality, fresh ingredients, sourced locally and beautifully presented in one of two lovely dining rooms or on the seasonal patio. Memories of Liz’s Cardamom-Orange French Toast with Maple-Glazed Bacon or her Smoked Salmon and Arugula Benedict will have you coming back season after season! Menu items are prepared each day by Liz herself, and are strongly influenced by her time spent traveling throughout Europe and Asia.
Hands-On Cooking with Chef Jordan
The inn’s cozy, professionally equipped kitchen plays host to your culinary adventure, and is presided over by visiting Chef Timothy Jordan. As a graduate of the prestigious Johnson and Wales University, Chef Jordan ran his first kitchen at the Park Hyatt Resort and Spa in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Chef Jordan has designed a stunning menu that will capture the season, and flavor of New England. Several hours of instruction will be dedicated to the construction of each course, and will conclude with the consumption of a delectable meal that you helped prepare.
