The Ultimate Rocky Mountain Culinary Adventure
Culinary vacations are special and create long-lasting memories. However, when you combine the activities planned in this exquisite getaway with the ambiance of a high mountain, Tyrolean-style village, you have the ingredients for a trip of which many can only dream. Beaver Creek is known as a world class mountain resort, and was rated number one in North America by Conde Nast Traveler. But what many may not know is that Beaver Creek is home to some of the West’s most celebrated restaurants and pioneer chefs. Your Rocky Mountain culinary getaway includes luxurious lodging, hands-on cooking with a Master Chef, gourmet dining at 10,000 feet and a guided snowshoe or jeep tour excursion. Leave the world behind as you enjoy amazing views, incredible cuisine and the quaint village of Beaver Creek, Colorado.
Beaver Creek Lodge - Queen Suite
At the base of Beaver Creek Mountain in Colorado—one of the world’s top ski resorts—Beaver Creek Lodge offers a sublime retreat of mountain chic luxury. Enter a setting of AAA Four-Diamond excellence, nestled within a charming alpine village steps from shopping, dining and entertainment. Beaver Creek Lodge features 72 spacious guest suites featuring mountain chic décor, original artwork, and upscale amenities. Curl up by the fireplace on your leather sofa or whip up a snack in your kitchenette. State-of-the-art touches include a flat screen television and wireless Internet access. From the pillow-top beds topped by down comforters to the faux fur throw, we’ve thought of everything to make your stay truly memorable.
Mountainside Breakfast Each Morning
Before you head out each morning on your Rocky Mountain adventures, guests are treated to a delicious breakfast artfully served in the resort’s own restaurant. Chef Mike’s menu changes with the season, but includes unique favorites such as Rocky Mountain Eggs Benedict with sirloin tips, mammoth Belgian Waffles with sweet cream butter and Martha Jane’s preserves, Breakfast Caprese with fresh basil pesto…or the traditional American breakfast for those less adventurous.
Hands-On Cooking Class with Executive Chef
Chef Mike Spalla serves his casual American cuisine in an informal, yet comfortable setting with stunning views of Beaver Creek. Located in the heart of The Beaver Creek Village on the second floor of Beaver Creek Lodge, Rocks Modern Grill is a unique dining destination. Plan on spending some quality time with Chef Mike as you explore new culinary skills, learn techniques used by the pros, and help design a multi-course meal. Prior to arrival, you will consult with the Chef to determine the type of cuisine you would like to learn during your visit to this pristine alpine village.
Multi-Couse Dinner at Conclusion of Instruction
After spending time with the Chef, rubbing elbows in his commercial kitchen, learning to master new recipes, you will sit down to enjoy a multi-course dinner that you helped prepare. Casual and cozy, you’ll enjoy your creation in Rocks Modern Grill, served either indoors or out, near one of three fire pits. Take time to enjoy views of the mountainside as you dine on the fruits of your effort. Maybe it’s just the altitude…but somehow the food tastes a little better up here.
Guided Snow Shoe Excursion, Jeep Tour or Guided Hiking Tour
In the winter, explore McCoy Park and its surrounding network of groomed and rustic snowshoe trails. Enjoy a guided interpretive nature tour featuring the local history, flora, fauna, and natural beauty of McCoy Park. Located on "the other side of the mountain" is an array of groomed and rustic trails crossing pine forests, aspen groves, and open glades. Nestled between Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch, you will experience fabulous views of three mountain ranges. In the summer months you will enjoy a unique Jeep Tour where you will view incredible mountain ranges surrounding the Vail Valley. Along the way you will pass fields of wildflowers, learn about the history, and maybe even get that special “chance’ encounter with local wildlife.
Chef’s Dinner at The Famous Beano’s Cabin
Amazing cuisine, well-chosen wines, impeccable service, and a unique transportation option to the restaurant have made Beano’s Cabin a favorite destination for years. In the winter, the only way to get up to Beano’s Cabin is via an open air sleigh ride, pulled by a snow cat. Beano's Cabin is a feast for the senses. With a wraparound deck at the foot of towering Grouse Mountain, it is a ballroom under the stars. Inside, vaulted ceilings, antler chandeliers and the warming glow of a stone hearth sharpen the appetite for a 5-course, gourmet organic menu. A dining destination experience you will not soon forget. (Unique sleigh ride in the winter – Tractor drawn carriage or horse ride in the summer)
