Saborea is a word derived from Sabor, which means “taste” in Spanish, and this festival aims to serve up the best tastes this island has to offer. What could be better than cutting-edge island cuisine and rubbing elbows with culinary superstars? Doing it all in a tropical paradise where U.S. citizens won’t even need a passport! Puerto Rico once again plays host to a culinary festival that brings together some of the region’s top chefs, along with guest chefs from around the world. If a weekend of eating the finest Caribbean specialties and drinking rum on sunny tropical shores is your idea of fun, then this is definitely an event that needs to be engraved on your calendar.
Bon Appétit Magazine, Puerto Rico Tourism and Epitourean have collaborated to offer a unique package. Your special experience begins on the evening of Friday, April 9th with a very special welcome reception and gala dinner. Local chefs will present a five-course rum-inspired menu to pair perfectly with some of the finest local sipping rums, with a tasting guided by a Rummelier. Attend the Saborea on Saturday, with cooking and beverage seminars and a tasting pavilion showcasing wine, beer and spirits distributors, as well as some of the island’s finest restaurants.
This two-night package provides lodging, access to the Rums of Puerto Rico Beach Soirée on Friday night, and VIP tickets to the Saturday all-day Saborea Village.
