Day 1
Private Airport Transfers Upon your arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport, you will be welcomed in person by an English-speaking guide and transferred directly to your hotel. You don’t have to think about anything, just relax and relish the anticipation of your full-immersion culinary vacation in the Land of Smiles. During your 8 days in Bangkok you will not only learn the art of Thai cuisine, but enjoy market excursions and cultural tours. All transportation is provided by English speaking drivers/guides for scheduled activities. At the conclusion of your fabulous tour, you will be delivered back to the airport for your departure flight.
Day 2
Thai Breakfast Buffet Breakfast is served at the Cinnamon Restaurant located on the ground floor of the hotel each morning between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Breakfast is each day is included in your package, and includes a variety of regional foods, both cold and hot. You’ll find a wonderful selection of fresh fruits, as well as traditional eggs and meats. For those looking for a sweet start to your day, try out a variety of pa thong go…Thailand’s version of the donut.
Full-Immersion Thai Culinary Classes | Lunch During your culinary tour of Bangkok, you will enjoy 5 full-immersion hands-on cooking classes spread out over your stay. Several days are completely devoted to cooking, while other days offer a bit of culture with a dab of the culinary. Regardless of the time spent wok “ing”…most classes last about four hours…you’ll learn a variety of techniques and recipes that you can share with friends and family back home. In class you will learn how to prepare (from scratch) 3 Thai curry pastes in the traditional way – with granite mortar and pestle. You can also expect to learn about making coconut milk from the meat of a mature coconut and how to make that famous Thai sticky rice. Vegetable & Seafood Market Tour with Thai Chef You can’t fully appreciate Thai cuisine without shopping for ingredients in one of the famous Markets. You’ll learn about Thai fruits, vegetables, herbs, coconuts and peppers. Your personal guide and Thai Chef will show you three different kinds of basil, two types of coriander, two types of limes and numerous peppers, mushrooms, ginger and more! Visiting a Thai open-air market is as much a cultural experience as it is a shopping adventure. Don’t forget to sample…Thai markets offer the kind of food you’ll never find in any restaurant!

Bangkok City Tour, Temples, Grand Palace and Klongs For a slight change of pace, and to gain an insider’s view of Thai culture, you’ll take a full day to explore the city of Bangkok in all its frenetic glory. Your private guide will offer a view into Chinatown with many of its Buddhist Temples, and no visit to Bangkok is complete without a stop at the Grand Palace…one of the City’s most amazing landmarks. You will also take a ride on a long tail boat providing a completely different vantage point for viewing Thai life on a klong (canal). So different, yet so beautiful. You will be both amused and amazed at the same time in this very special land of the Thai.

Train Market Tour, Floating Market, River Kwai and Tiger Temple On this day you will start out visiting the Mae Klong Train Market, a market that is literally on the railroad tracks…except for when the actual trains arrive! You’re in for a day of one amazing site after another, and your next stop is the Donmoen Saduak Floating Market where you will ride on a long tail boat to do your shopping and sightseeing. Take a deep breath, for the excitement has just begun. Cast your eyes upon the Bridge on the River Kwai, ride a train on the infamous Death Railway, and visit a World War II POW cemetery. And if that’s not enough culture for one day, you will stop at the world famous Tiger Temple on your way back to Bangkok. Here you can actually pet a tiger (if you dare)!
Day 5

Cultural Show with Dinner at Siam Niramit This is a must-see show while in Bangkok, performed on a gigantic stage where over 100 performers are in lavish costumes with a backdrop of spectacular set designs and effects. This show is a world-class performance of Thailand’s arts, historical and cultural heritage. After the show you’ll enjoy some of Bangkok’s famous nightlife. Visit Skybar, an open-air bar on the 63rd floor of Bangkok’s second tallest building for the most incredible views of the City’s skyline at night. Take notes…you’ll be talking about this night for years to come!

Bangkok’s Foodie Walking Tour Put on some comfy shoes and get ready to experience some amazing tastes, and some amazing sights while you make your way through historic Thai neighborhoods located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Sample an abundance of street food and specialty foods prepared in small, quaint restaurants…and experience some off-the-beaten-path sightseeing while you’re at it. This tour stops at 5 tasting locations where you’ll enjoy no less than 8 yummy Thai samples…more than enough for a meal…so bring your appetite!
Day 7

Dinner Cruise Along the Chao Phraya River As your tour comes to a close, there is just one more adventure that you must experience. You will all enjoy a farewell dinner aboard the Grand Pearl. Cruise the mighty River of Kings (Chao Phraya River) for a night of dancing, dining and sightseeing. Aboard the Grand Pearl, you will enjoy an international buffet dinner, and some Thai classical dancing. This is an evening made for cameras, so don’t forget to bring yours so you can capture night photos of the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) and the Grand Palace. After your cruise, and for those who haven’t had enough, it’s on the town you go again for a little more of Bangkok’s exciting nightlife. You’ll need a long flight home just to recharge!

Check-Out and Departure | Airport Transfers Time flies when you’re having so much fun, but alas…it is time to check out and depart this delicious, “Edible Destination.” Should you desire an extended stay, please let your culinary travel specialist know prior to check-in. Your host will provide transfers to the airport in accordance with your travel plans. May your future travels come from sweet dreams, and create tasty memories!
Admiral Premier Bangkok
Nestled on a quiet street is the Admiral Premier Hotel, a chic and comfortable serviced residence in the heart of Bangkok’s business, shopping and entertainment district. The hotel is just a stroll away from the BTS Asoke Skytrain Station and MRT Sukhumvit Subway Station. Included in each room is a kitchenette, King bed, balcony, Wi Fi and many other amenities. A pool and exercise room are also on the premises, and a tuk tuk is available for trips to the cooking school and to the mass transit station.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What Currency is being quoted?
All prices are quoted in USD. The price quoted on the first page of a tour is always per person, double occupancy.
What does Double Occupancy mean?
Two persons traveling together, and staying in the same room. Tour prices are normally quoted as “per person, double occupancy” in case two people are traveling together and staying in the same room, but paying separately. The cost of the lodging is also shared by two people, thereby reducing costs. This could be a married couple, two friends or relatives.
What is a Single Supplement?
Whenever a person travels alone, the cost of their lodging cannot be shared by another person. When tour products are priced, they are normally stated as “per person, double occupancy.” Whenever a guest occupies a room as a solo, the whole cost of the lodging must be incurred by that one individual. Tour companies accommodate this by charging a Single Supplement. Epitourean does its best to keep the single supplement as low as possible, but it is a real cost that tour companies must absorb, and must pass along to the single traveler.
If I am a Solo Traveler, will I be paired with another person?
Epitourean never pairs a solo traveler with another person without a special request. If you book Single Occupancy, you will have a room entirely to yourself. However, should you wish to be paired with another solo traveler to save on the single supplement, you may make this request. We cannot guarantee that we can accommodate such requests, since it would take another solo traveling on the same tour for the same dates. But if requested, we will certainly try.
Is a Deposit required to book a tour or getaway?
Yes. We require a 30% refundable deposit for all our domestic (USA and Canada) getaways and tours, and a 50% refundable deposit for international destinations outside of the USA and Canada. Reservations made for destinations within the USA and Canada must be paid in full 30 days prior to departure. Reservations made for destinations outside of the USA and Canada must be paid in full 60 days prior to departure.
Does Epitourean (and Edible Destinations) offer Travel Insurance?
At this time, Epitourean does not offer travel protection directly. However, we highly encourage the purchase of travel insurance or travel protection in case something unexpected occurs that forces you to cancel your trip after the cancellation period has lapsed, or should you experience a medical emergency while traveling outside of the USA or Canada.
Are flights included in the tour price?
No. Flights are never included in the price of our land-only tours. Epitourean does not provide air, rail or sea travel, unless expressly noted in the itinerary.
May I give a culinary tour as a gift?
Yes. Epitourean has a special program designed specifically for this purpose. Our Gift Packages come with features such as special messages to the recipient, gift box option, gift link (without pricing), and floating dates (should you not know when the gift recipient wants to travel). May we request separate beds if sharing a room?
Yes. In most cases, Epitourean can accommodate a request for two beds to be placed in one room. Just make sure to make this request in the comments section of the reservation process.
Does each guestroom have a private bathroom?
Yes. Epitourean partners with the best lodging options in each destination, and private (en suite) bathrooms are a requirement. However, you should inquire as to the configuration of bathrooms should you have a special need. For example, some tours include accommodations in medieval villages, where either a shower or bath(but maybe not both) are present.
Can your tours accommodate my dietary restrictions?
In almost all cases, Epitourean can accommodate dietary choices and restrictions. But we do request that you ask a Culinary Travel Specialist prior to making your reservation so that we can assess your individual situation.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Our full cancellation policy is stated in the Terms and Conditions when making your reservation. Cancellations with a full refund are allowed up to 31 days or more prior to departure for USA and Canada tours, or up to 61 days or more prior to departure for international tours. No refund is allowed 30 days or less prior to departure for USA and Canada tours, or 60 days or less prior to departure for international tours.
