Coastal Treasures of the Sorrentine Peninsula
with Michelin-Starred Dining, Cooking and Wine!

A culinary adventure along Italy's Amalfi Coast is a feast for the senses, where dramatic cliffs and sparkling seas frame a journey through the region's most celebrated flavors. In seaside villages like Positano and Amalfi, travelers savor just-caught seafood prepared with zesty lemons grown on terraced groves that spill down the mountainside. Hidden trattorias invite guests to enjoy handmade pastas and wood-fired pizzas, while family-run vineyards in the hills pour crisp white wines that pair perfectly with the coastal fare. From tasting limoncello in a local producer's cellar to indulging in creamy mozzarella di bufala and delicate pastries in charming piazzas, every stop reveals a new layer of Campania's rich culinary heritage, blending tradition, freshness, and the unmistakable joy of Italian hospitality. While this tour is full of premium activities, it also features a full free day to explore other areas of the Amalfi Coast that may be of interest. You can do this completely on your own, or choose from a list of available options, such as visiting the Isle of Capri and its amazing shopping or the Marina Grande fishing village which offers charming seaside restaurants where you can savor freshly caught seafood. Staying in Sorrento puts you at the heart of the Bay of Naples, with an abundance of experiences at your doorstep.

Day 1
Arrival and Airport Pickup & Check-In Upon arrival at the Naples Capodichino International Airport your driver will be waiting with a sign for easy identification. The drive from Naples Airport to the heart of Sorrento is a breathtaking introduction to the beauty of southern Italy. Leaving the bustle of Naples behind, the road winds past Mount Vesuvius and into the dramatic landscapes of the Sorrentine Peninsula. With each curve of the road, the scenery becomes more spectacular, culminating in the enchanting arrival to Sorrento's historic center, where piazzas, narrow lanes, and sea-view promenades embody the quintessential charm of the Amalfi Coast.
Welcome Dinner at Magnolia With subtle elegance and a sense of place, your evening dinner at Magnolia Restaurant will welcome you to the Amalfi Coast with attentive service, a menu based on seasonality and respect for locally sourced ingredients. Discover Sorrento's authentic culture through its culinary traditions and savor its unique coastal cuisine in an atmosphere designed to both welcome and relax you after your long journey. (D)
Day 2
Amalfi Coast Breakfast Indulgence Breakfast at this 4-star superior hotel in Sorrento is an elegant yet inviting affair, set against the backdrop of sweeping views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Guests are welcomed to a lavish buffet where the fragrance of freshly baked cornetti, cakes, and warm breads mingles with the aroma of rich Italian coffee. Local specialties such as fresh mozzarella, sun-ripened tomatoes, and fragrant basil sit alongside platters of seasonal fruit, prosciutto, and artisanal cheeses. For a touch of indulgence, there are delicate pastries filled with lemon cream—a nod to Sorrento's famous citrus groves—paired with freshly squeezed juices.
Sorrento Food Tour | Gelato Class In the mid-morning you will meet with a local guide for a visit of Piazza Tasso, the historic main square of Sorrento. Stop to enjoy local cheese, salami, bruschetta caprese and a glass of wine. You'll visit the old town, Cathedral of Sorrento, Sedil Dominova and the Cloister of San Francesco, where trees and ornamental plants are accompanied by a characteristic game of arches. The buildings, renovated several times over the centuries, are the result of a mixture of architectural styles, ranging from Gothic to Renaissance, including Arab influences. There will be a panoramic stop at the nearby Villa Comunale where views on the Gulf of Naples are breathtaking. Stroll along the historic center in the alleys of Via San Cesareo with fresh fruit stalls and craft shops that color and animate the alleys! Taste some Lemon liqueur, Lemon chocolate and cookies. Then you will reach one of the best "Gelaterie" in Sorrento for your gelato class. An explanation of the differences between ice cream and gelato will be provided, and you will learn how to make cream-based gelato as well as fresh fruit sorbet. Listen to a short history of gelato, with inside secrets of how to make gelato at home with a gelato machine or without. You will also get a lesson on how to make limoncello, along with local recipes. Members who wish to participate will be encouraged to join the gelato making demonstration. Of course, tasting the end product is what this adventure is really all about.
Afternoon Mixology Class This afternoon you are in for a real rooftop treat! The Dry Martini Sorrento, with its incomparable view of Mt. Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples, is the 5th location in the world of the brand created by Javier de las Muelas, internationally renowned bartender and trend setter. An exclusive selection of more than 200 cocktails, divided into different categories, with 100 different variations of the Dry Martini. Your mixology lesson includes a masterclass on the products, the preparation of three different cocktails (Limoncello Spritz, Negroni, and one of their famous Martinis), and a final tasting accompanied by tapas or pizza bites. Dinner this evening (if you're still hungry) will be on your own, with many restaurants just steps from the hotel. (B, L, T)
Day 3
Amalfi Coast Breakfast Indulgence Breakfast at this 4-star superior hotel in Sorrento is an elegant yet inviting affair, set against the backdrop of sweeping views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Guests are welcomed to a lavish buffet where the fragrance of freshly baked cornetti, cakes, and warm breads mingles with the aroma of rich Italian coffee. For a touch of indulgence, there are delicate pastries filled with lemon cream—a nod to Sorrento's famous citrus groves—paired with freshly squeezed juices.
Guided Pompeii Archeological Tour Arriving in Pompeii you will meet your authorized local guide for a guided, 2-hour visit showing you the main public monuments and some of the homes of the Pompeii ruins. The ruins of Pompeii offer a hauntingly vivid glimpse into ancient Roman life, frozen in time by the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Walking through its cobbled streets, visitors encounter remarkably preserved villas, temples, baths, and even frescoes that reveal the artistry and daily routines of a once-thriving city. From the amphitheater to the Forum, every stone tells a story of a civilization abruptly silenced, making Pompeii one of the world's most extraordinary archaeological sites.
Winery Visit, Wine Tasting & Lunch After the tour, proceed with our driver to the Winery "Bosco de' Medici". Enjoy a visit of the property and then have lunch pairing with wine tasting. Nestled just steps from the famed ruins of Pompeii, Bosco de' Medici is a stunning wine resort and winery that marries the region's rich ancient history with contemporary hospitality. Spread across twenty acres, the vineyards are operated using organic and biodynamic methods, with many vines remaining ungrafted and deeply rooted in the mineral-rich soils around Vesuvius. Among their most remarkable offerings are Piedirosso varietals, grapes once tended by ancient Romans, fermented in terracotta vessels that softly echo millennia of winemaking tradition. After returning to the Majestic Palace Hotel, you will enjoy free time and dinner on your own this evening. (B, L, T)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What Currency is being quoted?
The Currency Code is listed directly after the published amount. If it states USD, then the quoted price is in United States Dollars. If it states CAD, then the quoted price is in Canadian Dollars. If it states EUR, then the quoted price is in European Union Dollars…etc. However, please note that all charges are processed in USD, and Epitourean’s Merchant Bank automatically calculates the currency conversion on the day of the charge.
What does Double Occupancy mean?
Two persons traveling together, and staying in the same room. Tour prices are normally quoted as “per person, double occupancy” in case two people are traveling together and staying in the same room, but paying separately. The cost of the lodging is also shared by two people, thereby reducing costs. This could be a married couple, two friends or relatives.
What is a Single Supplement?
Whenever a person travels alone, the cost of their lodging cannot be shared by another person. When tour products are priced, they are normally stated as “per person, double occupancy.” Whenever a guest occupies a room as a solo, the whole cost of the lodging must be incurred by that one individual. Tour companies accommodate this by charging a Single Supplement. Epitourean does its best to keep the single supplement as low as possible, but it is a real cost that tour companies must absorb, and must pass along to the single traveler.
If I am a Solo Traveler, will I be paired with another person?
Epitourean never pairs a solo traveler with another person without a special request. If you book Single Occupancy, you will have a room entirely to yourself. However, should you wish to be paired with another solo traveler to save on the single supplement, you may make this request. We cannot guarantee that we can accommodate such requests, since it would take another solo traveling on the same tour for the same dates. But if requested, we will certainly try.
Are flights included in the tour price?
No. Flights are never included in the price of our land-only tours. Epitourean does not provide air, rail or sea travel, unless expressly noted in the itinerary.
May I give a culinary tour as a gift?
Yes. Epitourean has a special program designed specifically for this purpose. Our Gift Packages come with features such as special messages to the recipient, gift box option, gift link (without pricing), and floating dates (should you not know when the gift recipient wants to travel). Contact a Culinary Travel Specialist at 800-390-3292 or customerservice@epitourean.com to receive additional information about this unique offering.
May we request separate beds if sharing a room?
Yes. In most cases, Epitourean can accommodate a request for two beds to be placed in one room. Just make sure to make this request in the comments section of the reservation process.
Does each guestroom have a private bathroom?
Yes. Epitourean partners with the best lodging options in each destination, and private (en suite) bathrooms are a requirement. However, you should inquire as to the configuration of bathrooms should you have a special need. For example, some tours include accommodations in medieval villages, where either a shower or bath(but maybe not both) are present.
Can your tours accommodate my dietary restrictions?
In almost all cases, Epitourean can accommodate dietary choices and restrictions. But we do request that you ask a Culinary Travel Specialist prior to making your reservation so that we can assess your individual situation.
If I am unable to use a portion of the tour, can I get a partial refund?
Unfortunately, due to vendor and supplier contracts, we are unable to provide partial refunds for unused portions of any tour or tour component.
Are Transfers included in the Itinerary?
Round-trip transfers from the airport or train station are normally included in our international tours. Transfers to the destination (for both international and domestic tours) are not included in the tour price. Please see the Sample Itinerary. If it mentions that transfers are included, then yes, transfers are included at no additional cost.
What meals and excursions are included in the tour?
The Sample Itinerary should be your reference. If the meal or excursion is described in the Sample Itinerary, then it is included at no additional charge. For those days where it expressly notes Free time, then any optional activities you elect to participate in might have an additional cost. In addition, if the itinerary states "evening on your own," it would imply that you have the opportunity to visit a restaurant of your own choosing, and at your own expense. If you have any question about inclusions, please submit an inquiry by clicking on the blue "Ask Us a Question" button under the price section.
Is it possible to book pre or post tours or stays through Edible Destinations?
Yes, we often do have optional 2 and 3 night excursions that are priced separately from the tour. We can also assist with pre and post night stays in a hotel if you choose to come in early before the tour starts, or stay on after a tour ends. The price of those hotel stays are not included in the price of the tour, but we would be happy to provide a quote. Simply ask your Culinary Travel Specialist, or submit an inquiry by clicking on the blue "Ask Us a Question" button.
Are Guide or Host Gratuities included in the price of the tour?
Since tipping guidelines and customs vary widely between countries, we do not include gratuities in the price of the tour. Your Culinary Travel Specialist can provide you with recommendations. But the general rule is to tip modestly when you are pleased with a guide’s services, either at the end of the tour, or at the conclusion of a specialty day excursion where you will only be with that guide (or chef) on that day.
Should we plan on any personal expenses during the tour?
All lodging, meals, transfers, classes and excursions mentioned in the Sample Itinerary and Vacation Highlights are included in the price of the tour. However, we highly recommend taking local currency for purchasing personal items, souvenirs, tipping, etc. You can either get the local currency at an airport exchange service, ATM or from your local bank prior to travel. However, you should note that many hosted destinations do not accept credit cards for personal purchases.
Do you recommend Travel Protection?

We recommend that you purchase a travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. For your convenience, we offer Travelex travel protection plans that can include coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Travel Delay, Baggage Delay and more.
